Yali Beach Club
« on: May 19, 2013, 06:59:16 PM »
Hi, we used Yali beach club alot when we were in Kalkan a couple of years ago, but have since heard that it's changed management, and has become very exclusive and expensive. Has anyone been recently, and can tell em what it's like now?
Thanks

Hi, we went to Yali last week.  As it was early in the season we got away with not having to pay for the use of the sunbeds.  Normally there is a 10TL charge per bed.  All the beach clubs charge and I think this is on a par with the others.  It was a lovely day listening to the sounds of the sea.  The prices for food and drink are a little higher than in town but if you are careful of what you eat and drink it should not break the budget.  They now have towelling covers on the sunbeds and have toilets on site rather than having to cross the road to the hotel.  We really enjoyed our day and would have done just as much if we had had to pay the charge, which we would have done.

Jo, I'd be interested to know if there were plenty of beds? I know it was early in the season but given the number of reserved areas for the residents at Likya Gardens do you think it would get full pretty quickly later on in the season?
Thanks :)

There were plenty of beds and not having been mid season, not sure how busy it gets.  The beds are close together too.  I guess we go at the best time of year.  No-one said anything to us about reserved areas.  They were desperate to get people in muying food and drink.

10 TL per bed and plenty of them available yesterday! Nothing reserved for Likya guests but it's early on the season still. No Tarcin the dog (moved to Vanilya Cafe on Kalamar Road along with the owners!) & new bar staff this year. Menu expensive but worth it for the view! Sea absolutely freezing - made our teeth chatter! :-))
