  • Good news (or maybe not for some  ???)

Just seen on social media that there is a new Chinese restaurant opening soon on"Greek Street".

Hope this is true and will be open for the summer. Even if we don't go there, it surely must be great for the locals and ex pats. I remember Asian Gate's chinese food was delicious.

  • I hope it's open when we get there. Remember the first time we came to Kalkan and the Chinese on the KalamarRoad where we actually had a meal. Took a little time to cook but it was fine. It's all over grown now.

  • We also used that Chinese, joycie....they were really lovely people. I think there was also a Chinese at the harbour, although I don't remember it.
Does anyone know if Asian Gate will be back this season - I know Jawad is advertising as a catering service and just wondered if this means the restaurant wont be opening.
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

    • Sezkalkan: Holly - you may be better off starting off a post under 'general discussion' on the right hand side, but generally the weather is great in October - mid 20's with plenty of sunshine. Maybe the odd bit of rain, but doesn't normally last too long.  A little cooler in the evenings, so pack a pashmina.  It seems very safe. All of us Kalkan nutters hvae been coming all year and more than once too!  Go for it
