With great views the luxury, pool level, 2 bedroom Teras Apartment at the Emir is in a prime location, just a 5 minute walk into the old town.  It enjoys wonderful, elevated views of the horseshoe bay of Kalkan, the mountains and the old town, with all its attractions and amenities. The Emir Development is exclusive, small and quiet.


This new luxury two bedroom apartment is situated on one floor, at pool level, features the largest covered verandah (20 square metres) in the complex and has wonderful uninterrupted views over the bay and Kalkan old town. This exceptionally large south facing verandah is furnished with a wicker table and 6 comfortable chairs and being covered provides shade on the hottest of days and it is separated from the pool terrace by a garden area. There are two shared swimming pools and a children's pool, spacious sunbathing terraces with loungers, tables, chairs and parasols. 

A complementary food starter pack plus an English speaking 'meet and greet' service will welcome you to the Teras Apartment, whatever time you arrive and will be available throughout your stay. The apartment has maintenance, housekeeping and 24 hour security, run by the Asfiya management company. Your rubbish bins will be emptied and the bathroom cleaned daily and the linen changed and apartment cleaned twice weekly .


The private terrace is accessed through french doors from the lounge and also from the master bedroom and is divided from the pool terrace by a garden area. The Teras apartment is finished, decorated and furnished to a very high standard throughout and features stone walls, antique marble floors and large windows. It includes all the facilities you would expect to find in this high quality accommodation such as black granite topped tables and worktop in the kitchen, a 26" LCD television with satellite, DVD and CD player, Play Station, wicker furniture on the terrace, large fridge freezer, automatic washing machine, high quality kitchen equipment, mosquito nets and mesh window guards. The lounge and bedrooms all have individually controlled air conditioning, which will provide heat if required.

LIVING ROOM:
The very spacious, light, cool, open plan living room has 3 windows with mosquito screens and french doors which open fully onto the spacious furnished terrace. It is air conditioned and has two comfortable sofas which will convert into 2 beds if required. The tables in the room, including the dining table are in black granite. A 26" LCD TV with satellite, DVD and CD player, along with a selection of DVDs and CDs and a Play Station are provided for your entertainment.
KITCHEN:
The fitted kitchen has black granite worktops and is fully equipped with a stainless steel oven, hob, extractor fan, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a very large fridge freezer, a washing machine, iron and ironing board and drying rack.
BEDROOMS:
Both bedrooms are air conditioned and beautifully furnished. The master bedroom has 2 windows and a door leading onto the apartment's large terrace and has a king size bed. The second bedroom has 2 single beds which can be moved together if required. Both rooms have a mosquito net over the bed/s, dressing table, mirror and stool, bedside cabinet/s and lamp/s, wadrobes and drawers. A hairdryer and travel cot are also available.
BATHROOM:
The bathroom is fully tiled with a shower cubicle, washbasin and wc.

Area description

Kalkan is at the centre of a large bay, surrounded by the mighty Taurus mountains. It is an old fishing town that, due to its beauty, has now developed into a stylish holiday destination. The harbour and old town retain their old world charm, as there are strict regulations on their development. In summer the winding narow streets are pedestrianised, which allows visitors to enjoy the ancient character of the village as they wander and browse in the many small shops.


In the harbour you will find Turkish gulets, yachts, local fishing boats and small motor boats. At the end of the harbour you will find an attractive pebble beach. Visitors can also choose to spend the day at one of the beach clubs situated at various locations around the bay , accessed by using the small motor boats which throughout the day ferry visitors free of charge from the harbour.
The choice of places to eat in Kalkan is without comparison and is one of the reasons people return year after year. You will find sophisticated harbour and rooftop restaurants. They serve high quality fresh food and seafood caught earlier that day and provide wonderful views of the sea and town. Each play their own style of music such as jazz, classical, swing, Turkish, sometimes live, but always in keeping with the stylish ambiance of the town. You will also find excellent traditional Turkish restaurants where there is no menu and you choose from the selection of dishes on display that day.


Water sports, including diving, and gulet trips are available in Kalkan. Kas, Patara and other places can be visited using the local Dolmus service (bus service but usually a small minibus) and organised trips or taxis can all be arranged in the village.
Every Thursday is market day in Kalkan when locals and tourists converge to buy the most wonderful fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts, olives and cheese as well as household goods, clothes, bags and belts. This is the place to practice your haggling skills. The Turkish residents of Kalkan are another reason why the town has so many repeat visitors. They want you to have a wonderful time and are very hospitable and friendly - the supermarkets will even deliver your shopping but unlike Asda and Tesco they do not charge!!!

Cancellations made less than 8 weeks prior to arrival will incur the full payment.

We will also require a cheque for £100 damage/breakages security (for other than normal wear and tear), which will be refunded within ten days of departure, subject to clearance by the management company .
