Welcome pack costs !
« on: June 13, 2017, 08:36:26 AM »
We have been asked to provide a welcome pack for  4 guests   ( tea, coffee, milk, suger, bread , eggs, jam )  and have been quoted 150 tlr  by our management company, which at £35  sounds a little expensive  , It would be good to hear what others pay for welcome packs

Where are your management company purchasing these thing Harrods,  it's a welcome pack not a weeks supply. Tell them to go to BIM.

We used to supply these when we were renting.  Even more than what you listed.  Salami, cheese and including wine & beer.  Never spent more than 45 TL at most.  That was 2 years ago but still shouldn't cost more than 55-60 at most.

Thanks to everyone for feedback,  It would be fair for me to say I did misread my original quote and it was up to 150tl rather than 150 tlr  "However"   I suspect it would  still have been charged at the higher end  of the quote  as our maintenance is provided by a hotel.  I have advised our guests to call in at Bim on the way into town  where I suspect as you  pointed out  it would be about 40 -50 tlr for the goods in question

Im quite surprised that you dont provide a welcome back as standard and included in the rental cost...I must admit I thought everybody provided one!!! :)  Mine is fairly basic but enough to get started and I think I pay 25tl per guest and I also provide a bottle of wine (not included in the above cost) - I buy a case or 2 at the start of each season and my maintenance guys put a bottle in the fridge for each guest to enjoy a tipple when they arrive!! :)

Felicity  re " I'm quite surprised that you don't provide a welcome back as standard " .   If I could guarantee  they would be made available  I would provide as standard , We have had many issues in the past where we have asked for them to be provided and they have not been so. Also we have not had many requests for them in the past
