Lucky you!

I returned from Kalkan two weeks ago today, very sad about that!

Anyway, I spoke to some of the locals about renting an apartment & they pay approx £200 to £300 per month for a 2 to 3 bedroom apartment, obviously you would probably pay more but will still be cheaper than living in the UK!!

Have a word with Bridget from 2 Black lions. The ground floor apartment in our block ( of 3) is up for sale, but as no one can complete at the mo the owner might rent. He rented last year for a long let and it is a really nice 2 bed apartment 5 mins out of town. Send me a PM if you would like more info

Baris at the Hotel Nur still has one of the (one bed) apartments in his block of 5 that hasn''t sold yet - he might be prepared to rent it for a long term let. I''ll ask if you like. I can also send you photos if you want to see some.

Hi Lougie,
Surely you mean £200-£300 PER WEEK not per month

Newballs, Lougie is probably correct. I believe that''s about the going rate for long term rental for a 2bed apt.  whereas a Holiday Let would be about the same but per week.

My friend who is half way through her ''year in Kalkan'' is pretty clear that negotiating a yearly rental in July is difficult because apartment owners are hoping for some tourist income and commensurate prices.  She rented a nice 2 bed apartment with year round pool, this February, 10 minutes walk out of Kalkan (towards Kalamar) for about £3.5K for the year - and they furnished it for her.  My advice - ask around as much as possible.
