GARDENING STUFF NEEDED

A tall and lazy gardener needs some help with equipment to do an end of season clear up and wondered if anyone has or knows of anyone with a strimmer (you remember them, right? - the fast-spinning head with the nylon cord that zaps all in its path) to lessen the load and the bending.  Can anyone help?  If not, does anyone have any long-handled shears?

Slightly differently, we are also looking for an earthbreaking implement - the one I have seen before is a long handle with three curved claws at the bottom and two handles at the top - hold vertically, push it down into the earth and then turn with the two handles and Bob's your auntie's live-in lover.

We have a very large garden and buy our garden tools, supplies and chemicals in Fethiye.  Unfortunately, I have never seen either a scrimmer or the earth-breaking tool you describe.  Our gardener uses a pick axe and a hoe to break the earth and we pull the weeds by hand with some help from Round-Up.  You can get long trimming shears in Fethiye in the main hardware store on the main road -- on the left as you enter the central area of Fethiye.  Just 1 block after the intersection where there is a big petrol station on the left.  About 4-5 block before reaching the right turn to Migro.
