Duty Free

Does anyone know the Duty Free Allowance for taking spirits from UK into Turkey?  Last year you were allowed 5 Litre bottles of spirits, but I believe this may have changed!

I dont think you will get stopped whatever you take in,I dont think I have ever seen anyone get stopped going in.

I don't think it will be a problem at Dalaman, but I have phoned Bristol Airport and they have said they will only sell me 1 litre of alcohol to Dalaman!!!!!......I cannot buy my particular drink in Dalaman/Kalkan.

I did once get stopped at Dalaman and they scanned my case and asked if I had duty frees in it (think it was the shape of the holdall and it looked like it had boxes in)

Only one ltr from bristol !! thats no good,manchester will sell you as much as you can carry,after that its not their problem.
can you not buy your drink at dalaman duty free,its not bad.
I once bought 8 ltrs of various spirits at m/ch,and they even gave me special canvas bags to carry it in,free !

When we tried to buy a 2 litre bottle of spirits at Cardiff airport the shop assistant informed us that she couldn't sell it to us as Turkey is not part of the EU and we were only allowed to take 1 litre bottles.

not sure about what they allow you in (if they check) but I always buy my stuff at my arrival airport in Turkey. In June when wanting to buy 2 bottles to take in was only allowed 1 bottle per passport. I would like to warn people though that staff at duty free are insisting to people returning to UK that they are allowed to bring 1200 cigs each (its still only 200) very naughty.
