Lira & Limes.........& other important matters

I'd be interested to hear from any of the ever increasing number of EK-ers currently in Kalkan regarding

1. The current GBP exchange rate.......currently 2.73 from Travelex

2. The availability of limes........thought I'd found a tree last year but it turned out to be an unripe orange tree. There were none in the shops and lemons, although plentiful, are a poor substitute in a G&T

3. The availability of fresh mint.........& sugar syrup.....& Havana Club spiced rum

1. Currently 2.80 most places, no commission.
2. Limes are available to buy in the greengrocers near Parc
3. Fresh mint was available in the market, not seen it in the shops but haven't been looking for it - sugar syrup and Havana Club...? Perhaps someone else can help with those.

Fresh mint available in the same green grocers k4e recommends for limes.  I'd suggest bringing the Havana spiced rum from duty free.  Hopefully one of the residents will let you know about sugar syrup.
