Looking for a loo in Kalkan...
« on: July 02, 2009, 10:28:22 AM »
My wife requires several loo stops while she is walking on holiday, and, looking where our villa is situated in Kalkan, she will be on her feet quite a bit when we arrive this month.
In Spain, where we normally go on holiday, finding a toilet is relatively easy, whether it be a bar, or such as a Burger King or Macdonald''''s.
But what of Kalkan? First up, are there any public toilets in the village, and, if not, how easy it it to find a loo in a hurry when you are making your way about?

Never had a problem Peiping into a bar to use the facilities......unlike this country the owners don''t mind I guess they work on the theory that you wont forget and may come back to have a meal etc

Has anyone noticed that the standard of the loos seems to have dropped this year.  Last year, all the restaurants were competing for "best equipped and most luxurious", but obviously corners have had to be cut and several of the more reliable ones have come down to more basic.

While I''m on the topic of cost cutting, I''ve noticed that some of the restaurants have cut back on "appetisers" before dinner.  Anyone else noticed?

Be like Malta soon where there is a little old lady outside the loo, who you have to buy the toilet paper off  :) :)
