Griffo it's a matter of choice..we tend to take some TL to get us through the first couple of days then change using atms(charges, we use Nationwide flex acc) ) we draw out a couple of hundred £'s worth each time, you can also change sterling in many shops/jewellers etc and they have boards outside with rates on(bear in mind if you carry loads of sterling around and lose it it's gone forever so we prefer the safety of having it in the bank to draw on),not forgetting the post office changes too....we don't bother with travellers cheques because of hassle carting passports around etc..credit cards are widely accepted ;)
People Of Britain.. When your missus asks "Does my bum look big in this? Never say "Dunno your blocking the light."... just sayin ????

 ta ta for now

We do something similar to BL.  You usually get a better exchange rate for your sterling in Kalkan  than the UK.  We also use the ATM machines and although there is a charge we find we  get a higher exchange rate so balances out.  Have a fab time in Kalkan, I'm sure you will love it  :)
