Top three Turkish Restaurants in Kalkan
« on: August 30, 2009, 01:34:28 PM »
I have been asked for advice on the best Turkish restaurants by some guests arriving next week.

Can any other Turkish food fans help by giving your top three Turkish restaurants in or around Kalkan -for real Turkish food not international.

I haven't found a bad Turkish restaurant yet, although obviously some are a lot better than others.

The point of this post was to give a better answer to a query from some people coming over to Kalkan for their first time who are fans of authentic Turkish food and have said they would prefer to avoid tourist type menus.

We have got into a bit of a rut going back to the same half dozen or so places and would like both to provide a  broaden our horizon a bit

Hi Alantj,

for authentic Turkish Cuisne I would reccommend Maya. You may have to book as it's a very small terrace with about 6 tables. The menu is quite limited and changes each day but the food is freshly prepared and very good. The homemade apple cake is gorgeous.

Whilst not strictly Turkish cuisine I would also reccommend Kalamaki (where Coast used to be) and Moussakka where Ramis used to be. Both excellent quality and service.
