Floating Shelves
« on: January 14, 2008, 07:20:15 PM »
Hello

Is there anywhere in or around Kalkan that we would get ''floating shelves'' - the type that fix to the wall without the fixings being visable?

Thanks

Currently have a duplex apartment in Kiziltas which we visit as often as we can.

Not sure where you can purchase them locally ready made & am sure if you had a drawing and an idea of the fixing you would like there is someone who would love the challenge of making them for you.  Plenty of carpenters in Yesilkoy who love to try different things and like looking at the brochures from UK eg B & Q & Ikea.

If they are in the Ikea Catalogue (and I am sure they are), you can order them from the Need Store on the Kalamar Road and they will get them for you. Obviously you will pay over the Cat. price but it is worth considering. They have both the Turkish and English written catalogues so you can browse.

Hi turkey fan
We have a large size  floating shelf (Ikea) still in its box which we haven''t used, you can have it for nothing if you want it. It''s just sitting in our garage and taking up space so it needs a new home.
