Hello - newbie here

Just found this website having booked a holiday to Kalkan in September. Its not our first time in Turkey, we have been to Calis last couple of years, but thought we''d tried somewhere different. Having read through lots of this site, I''m glad we have! Kalkan looks and sounds wonderful.

Twenty weeks to go and then we''ll be there with our Efes and our appalling attempts at Turkish - cannot wait.

We''re staying in a villa, no idea where it is (anyone know/been to Villa Mehtapli?) looks lovely anyway.

Welcome Liz to our forum - if you have any queries about Kalkan - simply ask...other than without further details - i have no idea where your villa is located..!! Sorry - if you can give any further details unless anybody knows the villa by name..!!

The thing is we have only just booked and as yet I havent'' really got any further details about the villa. Its TK899 on owners direct, that''s about all I can tell you!

never mind though, exploring is half the fun.

Hi Liz, Don''t worry Villa Mehtapli is very nice, it is located close to the main shops, bars and restaurants (about a 10 min walk).  It has wonderful views out across the bay and is has a nice pool and from what I can remember from a house warming party I went to there, it is lovely inside and well kitted out. (though of course I had consumed a numerous glasses of Efes at the time),   Have a great holiday.
