Sunny Coventry in the West Midlands. Famous for Lady Godiva, The jet engine (my grandfather hand shaped the rotor blades on the first prototype), tricycle, Jaguar cars, Alvis, Triumph, the Enemy, the Specials, King and being bombed by the Hun in 1941. Unfortunately out of the ashes a s**thole was built

Now residing in Perth Western Australia, but planning to retire in kalkan in 4-5 years.

Just back from our first visit to Kalkan.

We had an interesting time and may come back next year, so decided to stop lurking and join the website.

We are one from Preston and one from Longridge.
Malc knows someone with the nickname Bigbird and was wondering if it is you. If so, you would be a lady in your fifties.

Thankfully I am not (at least for a good few years yet) 50 or yellow. However, I am a 6ft3 redhead with a lively dress sense, so the Bigbird nickname was more or less inevitable.

I will get around to writing up my thoughts about our trip, although having to compete with the likes of Antler is a bit off putting as I don't quite have either his descriptive skills or fabulous glass is completely full (no in fact its self filling and overflowing) outlook on life.

Originally a Swinton Lad......but now an old Tyldesley bloke. Place of a famous witch. Fidimax you live closer to the Black Pudding origin now, than you did before (or so I believe) Jack Morris from Whipple tree farm Westhoughton is the Black Pudding Company master. I live in Brighton, which can be lovely. In fact I think that due to the fact it has the sea, beaches and restaurants it needs to be twinned with Kalkan - and I volunteer to be the local ambassador!

Don't quite know where to post this question ?
We are looking to buy a highchair for our villa "Villa Sienna" in Kiziltas. My husband is in Kalkan at the moment but as most places are closed he tried Kas but still couldn't find a highchair - will he have to go to Fethiye ?

New to the forum but just love it. I am from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands - not at all handy for Heathrow! A trip to Kalkan involves a flight to Gatwick, transfer to Heathrow and an overnight stay there before flying the next day. the same happens on return in reverse. We love Kalkan so much this does not put us off and we are returning for the 9th time in May!
