Hi everybody,

I am a born and bred Ayrshireman (Rabbie Burns country), although most of my working life has been spent in Glasgow.
My better half was born in Ontario, Canada, but moved to Scotland when she was 8yrs old, so has dual nationality.

Looking forward to being in Kalkan in 3 weeks time, as the Scottish "summer" has been of the usual standard  -  rubbish!!

Here in sodden Lanarkshire we''ve got flooding. Roads closed, rivers/streams burst their banks and people being rescued by boat. Oh those lazy hazy crazy days of a Scottish summer

Gary, I used to live in Ashdown Drive, what a small world. I think you must have met your wife in a pub called the Grass Hopper, which was then renamed Hoppers and is now called The Gate.
