KAPSA will be holding another Fundraising Bonanza this Sunday 12th of May at Kleo Bar and Seaport Restaurant. There will be the usual array of fabulous bargains to be had - clothes, jewellery, accessories, gifts, books and bric-a-brac, plus fantastic home made cakes and the raffle with soooooo many wonderful prizes. So don't miss out and please tell all your friends.
The fun starts at 11am.
See you all there . . .

Fancy a week in Kalkan - free accommodation? Or an excellent cookery course for 2 people? These are just a few of the wonderful prizes that have been donated for our Fundraiser raffle....
Due to popular demand you can also buy tickets on line but you have to be quick!!!
If you go onto www.kapsaonline.com/ and click on 'DONATE' you get the option to pay through your own paypal account or by credit card. You should then receive an electronic receipt via your email. Pls forward that to us at kapsa.kalkan@gmail.com with your name and the number of tickets you want. Tickets purchased this way are 5 for£4 (This then covers paypal fees too) please make sure you do this by 10pm UK time tonight though as no one will have time to check KAPSA email after that.
Good luck everyone . . .

The KAPSA fundraiser yesterday was a great success, attended by locals and tourists alike. As always the clothes stall was very popular, as were the cake and gift stalls. There was virtually nothing left at the bric-a-brac, toys and jewellery stalls, and the books went very well too. The wonderful prizes donated by many Kalkan business owners’ enticed loads of people to buy raffle tickets, and people waited with eager anticipation while the winning tickets were drawn. The wonderful prizes included a week’s accommodation at Hidden Garden, another week’s accommodation in Kışla and a Turkish cooking course at Guru’s Place. There were also boat trips, meals for two, beauty treatments and dozens of lovely gifts.
The grand total raised on the day was 10,846TL.
We wish to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that made it possible by working for weeks behind the scenes and on the day. We’d also like to thank everyone, both business owners and individuals for their generous donations, and everyone that came down to support us on the day. THANK YOU.
There are still some unclaimed prizes, and some prizes have been won by people that are not here to claim them, either because they bought tickets in advance or on line.

The star prizes were won by:

•   EMMA CALVERT - A weeks accommodation at Hidden Garden . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
•   SUSAN MELLOR - A weeks accommodation in a 2 bedroom apartment in Kışla  . . . . . . . .

So far ticket numbers for unclaimed prizes are:

98   ORANGE
124   GREEN
352   ORANGE
363   GREEN
382   ORANGE
485   WHITE

  • Sezkalkan: Holly - you may be better off starting off a post under 'general discussion' on the right hand side, but generally the weather is great in October - mid 20's with plenty of sunshine. Maybe the odd bit of rain, but doesn't normally last too long.  A little cooler in the evenings, so pack a pashmina.  It seems very safe. All of us Kalkan nutters hvae been coming all year and more than once too!  Go for it
