I have tried to access my accounts via internet banking and came to a grinding halt!
Apparently since the new year an additional SMS verification code is needed in addition to the normal details. Sent an e-mail to head office who said I should call them. So I called them and then they said they could not help me because the account is joint and to call the branch. Called the branch but Hatice was unavailable so e-mailed her and now waiting for advice.
Has anyone else been through this rigmarole?

We too had the same problem so I emailed Osman at Denizbank.  He asked for my mobile number which I sent him, so he could update their system.  He then instructed me to put my username in and the eparola number and apparently a pin is then sent to your mobile.  However, this didn't work because the website didn't recognise my eparola number, despite me copying it directly from the original paperwork I was given.  So although I know what you're supposed to do, I too have got absolutely nowhere.  I've now sent him an email to ask what my balance is because I've given up with the online banking.

We also had a problem and contacted Osman at Deniz bank. He was very helpful and was able to add our mobile number to the internet details.
When you log in after that has been done, the first part is the same a s before - i.e. username, eparola. You then press enter where you are shown a security image which you have chosen, then press continue and you immediately get a text message to your phone which gives you a verification number. This must be placed in the password section. You should then be logged in.
Each time you go into your account you will be sent a new verification number to your phone.

I have a problem with this as when I am in the UK and want to access my internet accounts..they send the sms to my Turkish mobile..which does not work in the UK.....all this technology...beam me up Scotty!

My OH is exactly the same as you lynne, he hates technology which is why he's moved all our money into the Is bank, it's exactly the same except it's a bit nearer the digiturk shop.

Sometimes I just love this website  :)

I thought i was going mad when i couldnt log in to my DenizBank account - does anyone know if I can give them a UK mobile number for verification?

just had an e-mail from Osman saying he had updated the system and I should try logging in.

Worked first time ! - number comes through on UK mobile straight away which allows access to the account details.

Sorry Baclava, wasn't ignoring you, just hadn't been online until now.
Although I still haven't been able to get into my account, Osman has sent me an email with my balance so that's better than nothing!

just an update to all of the above. If you have a Sifre Tec machine from Deniz bank this takes over from the SMS message that you receive when logging in. Once you have logged in via SMS code you then have the option to validate the Sifre Tec machine.
Just like a Barclays code machine it generates a code that you enter when logging in. You do not receive any more SMS codes after that.

I still having an ongoing saga with Deniz - they have confirmed they have my UK mobile number on the system but I still cant get any sms from them (they are now saying buy another phone  :o )
 
They also didnt seem to know how to get me a Sifre Tec - anyone any ideas other than move to another bank!

I had similar problems with Deniz Bank and transferred to Isbank. Elcin is very helpful and everything works! Including my i card. I recommend them

Hi All,  We too continue to have problems accessing our Deniz Bank account. I have faxed our mobile number confirmation sheet 6 times, emailed Osman about 20 times and also tried phoning. Apparently their system has problems sending the SMS to an iPhone. I therefore tried doing it with my SIM card in my husbands phone, still no joy! Am having to resort to asking Osman to email details of when payments have been made - far from ideal! I think perhaps they need to sort this out or they will be losing much of their UK based business (which is a shame as they are always super helpful when you go into the branch!).

WAHEY!!! Ive just been on the phone to DenizBank internet helpdesk and they have fixed it!!
 
They say the problem is when using a UK mobile you must give a 4 digit area code eg 7900 - they say most people key in 3 digits which wont work! Check with DenizBank in Kalkan that they are filling the paperwork in correctly!
 
Ive logged in and all fine now :) :)
