Saklikent Gorge - Rafting Options
« on: August 24, 2013, 03:50:01 PM »
Hi all,

When are looking to hire a car and drive down to the gorge.
Could someone tell me which of the 45/90/180 mins rafting trip would be best?

I am a water baby so 2 1/2 hours won't bother me, but which one is the best?

Many Thanks

I think it would depend on the time of year and water levels, we were lucky enough to raft after high rainfall last year but even, although good fun there were plenty of times we ran aground. I'm a water baby too, loved rafting at Bala at home but a bit tame at saklikent although the gorge walk was amazing :)

Obviously this is just my opinion and others may have had different experiences :)

Hi Muckyones,

We've done Bala also, it was fabulous. My picture was actually taken at Bala!
Oh thats a shame, we may go there to go the walk and see what the water level is like, play it by ear.

Thanks again muckones

The water levels are really low at the moment and you will maybe get 15 minutes of rafting before you run aground

But if you are really heavy you may not even get that  ;D
