price reduced to £190k . . . . . is it worth this? . . . . . You bet! all initial build problems have been sorted and numerous improvements have been added.
New build? Yes "stamp your own authority" on it (then address all the problems that have been hidden on sale) re-sale that has been in the owners hands for a few years? PROBLEMS? SORTED!

100% Agree with this. We and everyone else we know who purchased a new villa/apartment had to spend several years and lots of money de-snagging before everything was as it should be.

Then we must have a lucky star because we never had any issues with tapus, construction or our builder (who built only 6 large villas before retiring), nor any problems requiring de-snagging. The only thing we've ever had to do was varnish the shutters and regrout the pool tiles after several years.

Must say I too am in Cosetta's camp. Have never had a problem with anything in the villa and we now have it over 9 years. Some good builders out there!

Please don't get me wrong, our basic build was faultless, the guy who "commissioned" it had a villa behind us and doubtlessly thought it unwise to skimp the construction, but there are always (surely) going to be issues, unless of course it was you who commissioned and oversaw the actual build.
However the little niggles can become a huge irritant when you are not permanently on site and whilst I will agree there are some "good builders out there" there are plenty of "cowboys" who will have no compunction in covering up a myriad of shortcuts with a little render and paint.
I think what I may have wished to say is that enhancements, improvements and additions have taken place over the period of ownership of someone who "cares". We also have owned for nine years.
I rest my case.

I agree Headroom plenty of 'cowboys' too. Like you we too 'care' and have enhanced the original build with improvements and additions however I must say we were and still are 100% happy with the the build. Good luck with your sale.
