Can anyone explain what the tannoy announcements are in kalkan , we have had 2 today last one at 14.00.

Ask a local and they will tell you or someone in a restaurant or bar?  Let us know the outcome??? ??? ???

Sometimes it can be weather warnings, sometimes scheduled power/water outage, sometimes a reminder to pay council tax .... The roundabout speakers are right outside my apartment, so it's all part of the Kalkan soundtrack for me I love it!

I don't understand Turkish, but the speaker always makes everything sound so important! I would love it if at the end, he said (in Peter Kay style) 'Taxi for Hargreaves ....'
