Starting to organise paperwork for a renewal in a few weeks. I would like to here from anyone who has done a recent renewal if you were asked to prove your 'financial capacity'.

We have been told that to notarise and translate a UK pension letter will cost over £100.

Can confirm that you need to prove your financial capacity. . No idea re the cost of translation etc  but having had some other paper work dealt with in similar way the cost quoted to you seems rather over the top..

If you you email Gunhan Gunec or Salim Ozgilik at monix translation in Kas they may be able to advise you. They translate for the Notary 1.
Gunhan@monix.com.to  Another thing to bear in mind that although the exchange rate is good for the tourist it's not so for the locals & prices for such services as well as cost of living is rising.
