Title: Sneaky Passport Office
Post by: Blue Lizard on September 13, 2018, 04:37:00 PM
Just read an article by Martin Lewis stating that as from 10 th September If you apply for a passport any existing time on your current passport is no longer being carried over.....  Not right IMO that they should be so underhand about our personal documents which we pay for.!!!Bloomin cheek... :o >:D

You could easily loose over 6 months as you need that on your passport to visit Turkey. I agree, not right.

I read it's because to get into Europe after Brexit when we aren't in the EU your passport has to have been issued in the last 10 years so if it has 10 yrs 6 months on it then after 10 years it wouldn't meet the criteria.

It's also to minimise the potential rush as people change their EU coloured one for a British Blue one.
