Ada cafe
« on: June 27, 2013, 06:44:04 AM »
It is I, One Sheet.

Our party of four went to Ada cafe and patisserie a couple of nights ago. Our party was undecided about where to eat. Some wanted a big meal, the others more of a quickie. We settled for Ada.

We didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The food was simple and well laid out and reasonably priced. As we finished off the omelettes and chicken salads, we watched the world go by. The food was very good and we plan to go back there on our day of departure.   :)

Is Ada where Omar's used to be? Wherever it is it sounds pretty good, certainly worth a try I think Onesheet.

The restaurant where Omars used to be is Ata Restaurant.I have been a couple of times since it opened and each time have had a very good experience - excellent food, service and reasonable prices.Their mixed meze plate was the best I have had in Kalkan for a very long time.
Its good to see a new restaurant like this,I hope they do well.

Yes, I have been to Ata a couple of times on market days when it gets very busy. They do beautiful hand cut chips, and 5TL/6TL wine and beer respectively. A jolly place with good service.

who knew Ada were open in the evening ... we don't pass that way on our trip to town for dinner ... but they certainly do one of the best breakfasts in Kalkan all washed down with freshly squeezed orange juice

Silly me, getting my Ata's confused with my Ada's. We go to Bread & More as our villa is just five mintutes around the corner, don't understand that we've never been to Ada's, deffo try it this year, it will be great just a short stroll out for breakfast, sounds like they might even be giving Vita a run for their money in future as best homemade chips in Kalkan. Lol!
