You could eat in the best restaurants Kalkan has to offer for £50 for 2, no problem. You can also send £10 in the local kebab restaurants and the food is fab.  So you have a wonderful choice. Ie ; we had a fantastic meal the other night in Hunekan for £14 for 2 including wine  8)
Latest weather report...... Large outbreaks of Efes followed by intermitent spells of vodka and tonic ;-))

I think onelove had a bit too much of the wine when posting  :P or is Hunekan a newly opened restaurant?
It's Hunkar Ocakbasi which is round the corner from the Corner Restaurant.

...ahh you have to feel sorry for my BH, I'm a bit OCD with everything ::)
Hannah, a couple of years ago we came out for a quick 12 day break, only 6 weeks after we'd been for a three week break with the kids and managed very well on half that amount. You can eat really well and have a decent amount of alcohol on £50- £70 a day. I challenge myself to not spend all the daily allowance so I have more for bags ;D ;D. £130 a day is very generous and allows us to eat at any restaurant and indulge in my love of cocktails but we'll also go to the Soup Kitchen, Hunkar, Oz Adana and Fotos when the mood takes us and eat fab food in all those places.
Enjoy
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

...oh another thing, we rarely have starters in the more expensive restaurants as they always bring you something on the house - olives, bread, mini mezze :) I find it enough before the main course and it means there's room for pud ;) The portions are very generous, wherever you go.
Bob, I'm not sure I get your post about the cost of being an ex-pat ??? There'll be far more costs involved in that figure than for a holidaymaker, surely?

Sorry K4E, not much thought went into that really, just a simple mental calculation, 365 x £100, from someone deep in man flu from deepest Dorset.  :(
Well, Bournemouth seafront actually, taking in some much needed sea air!  8)  8)

Off to see Cinders now at the Panto, just to finish off the festive season.
He's behind you!

Thank you everyone! I am getting so excited now! I think we'll be working on £90 a day so fingers crossed we'll be ok. Only 4 months, 17 days and 16 hours to go according to my little countdown app!  ;D ;D ;D
