weather's not looking great is it!!  Thunderstorms forecast come Sunday.  Do they ever get it totally wrong? We wanted to go on a boat trip but can't see us fitting it in before the storms start.

We was thinking the same!!! Now deciding what we will have to do if the weather is that bad....always play tiddlywinks I suppose!

well, looks like a marathon tiddlywinks tournament is on the cards....but will be difficult to play with fingers crossed, hoping for good weather? tillymint, you asked where the best bars to shelter from the rain are, not sure as we always go in August!
BarbH, your name makes me laugh as if I wasn't babs on here I would probably have to be barbh!......could be very confusing when picking teams?

Have just been brave and had another look at the 14 day weather forecast on ktln......looks like the tiddlywinks tournament will have to be cancelled ladies (tillymint I am making an assumption here!)
Mind you I have looked obsessively at least twice a day for the last two weeks and it is different every time I look!!
Am just keeping my fingers and toes well and truly crossed.....which makes typing this extremely difficult!!

Hi Babs, yes  that would confuse everyone, I often get called Babs as well,,,even Barbie but nothing like the skinny doll figure, more like Aunt Bessie these days.

I have noticed the rain seems to be shifting each day, We do not normally go this late but it is a special annversary for us and where better to spend it? Rain or sun.

Just got to make the most of it,  off in  about 14 hours to Gatwick.

ok girls, (yes, babs, with a name like tillymint, you're right.. well, I'm not exactly a girl anymore... wrong side of 50). I will keep an eye out for the tiddlywinks. We're taking my mum's old darts. Are there any dart boards in any of the bars? Haven't played arrows for donkeys years, so will have to be careful!! Watch yourselves....

note to self....avoid any bars where a mature (yet obviously glamorous) woman is playing darts!! 
we won't need to hide away in bars, well be too busy drinking cocktails and showing off our lovely tans!
whatever your special anniversary is Barb you'll have a lovely time, we don't usually go this late but our youngest has just gone off to uni so this is a holiday to help me get over my 'empty nest stress'!
