What a great day today, we had about 2 hours of hard rain this morning and the same again this afternoon. It still felt hot, but what a relief from the 39c and high humidity that seems to have been going on for weeks, it''s probably only a couple  but it''s been really bad this year, it was great to be in the warm sea with the rain

Wow rain in Kalkan.  Today was the first day for as long as I can remember that we have not had any rain  No sun though

Our future son in law proposed in Kalkan yesterday and our daughter said yes. Perhaps the rain and reduction in the humidity cleared his brain and gave him the energy to get down on one knee as he had waited until their last night.

oh that is sweet I thought my son in law to be would pop the question to my daughter in Kalkan, then one night they went to the Ibo and he said we had a lovely romeo and juliet balcony for our meal very romantic, I thought fool why did you not pop the question, anyway 3 months later on Ilkley moor in Yorkshire he did, still reckon Kalkan made him realise what romance was.

They''ve been together a couple of years and we are delighted for them. Don''t think they will marry there but perhaps they will want to return for their honeymoon.
