Weather in March

Hi All

Can anyone please tell me, generally what the weather is like in the month of March.  I have been to Kalkan a few times but always in June.  Thinking of going earlier but would like it to at least be warm.

If you goggle Accu.weather.  You can look back at previous years / months weather, a lot
better than someone's opinion

We have found previously March can be warmish during the day but very chilly at night, due to all these changes around the world it is difficult to now rely on previous years in all honesty .For eg last year March in the UK was lovely, Kalkan not so good.   But sure there is more sunshine in Kalkan.

DRBD, many thanks for your reply, taken note of chilly nights.  I think we may go for May now then, I have read about the olive flies, but how bad can they be!  Will take my chances.  Love Kalkan so sure a few pesky flies won't get in the way of my relaxing time.

Last May and June, I didn't have any real problems with the little black flies biting my head. Either there were not too many about or the medicated shampoo was keeping them at bay. In 2011, they were a big problem. Swarms of them everywhere.

I have been the last 3 Mays and am booked to go again this year and have not experienced any problems with flies.  The only time I was bitten was the first time (and not just by the bug that gets everyone who goes to Kalkan) by a mosquito trapped in the room.  She was quickly an ex-mosquito the following morning when I found her in the bathroom.  Splat!!!

May can have some chilly evenings up top of the terrace restaurants.  Need to have a fleece or cardy with you.
