Weather

Not able to access KTLN at the moment, wondering what the weather's up to at the moment, as we'll be out there in a couple of weeks. We always come this time of year and it's always been absolutely boiling, also are there many people about as someone reported it being quite quiet in the bars etc a few weeks ago. Thanks!

Are the temperatures we see on the various weather sites accurate (BBC , KTLN).

The reported temperature at the moment seems to be between 30 & 33 degrees - is this accurate? Or is it as always much hotter than that - not having had much sun here at home I'm not sure that I will be able to cope with more than 35.  Some years in Kalkan it's topped 40-45!

Came back just over a week ago and forecasting sites consistently saying around mid 30s. Can absolutely say that they were wrong and got well above 40 every day. Nights were more uncomfortable than usual with extremely high humidity. Back out again in September and hopefully still warm but a bit more comfortable :)

It feels much much hotter than 33 and has been 27 degs in the early hours!! But there's been a lovely sea breeze this week in Kalamar which has made life much more pleasant. Not the oppressive heatwave of last year anyway! :-)

With respect I can't agree with the reported temperatures based on my experience .  A correct ambient temperature is taken in the shade and away from any other influence such as walls that are radiating heat absorbed from the sun.

I have been here 11 days and the temperature has been pretty consistent at around 33 degrees although it has varied and reached 36 degrees last Thursday.  The humidity has varied from the 20's to the 70's which has caused the swings in the comfort level.

I appreciate the temperatures mentioned by other members reflect the conditions their thermometer is situated and that area may be 40 for example , but they do not correlate to those published by the professional forecasters for the reasons mentioned above.
I am up the hill under the new road, so the town might be a little hotter?

By the way at 11.10 am its currently 31 degrees with humidity of 52.
